Leadership support for the Annual Giving Fund and other initiatives fall under these categories:

Exeter Initiatives Gift Fund Levels

This list shows the principal needed to establish specific endowment funds in support of The Exeter Initiatives:

Named Scholarship Funds

   
  Partial - Provides approximately one-quarter of an average Exeter scholarship award.
  $150,000
  Major - Provides approximately half of the average scholarship award.
  $300,000
  Full Scholarship Day Student - Provides approximately the average scholarship award for a day student.
  $450,000
  Full Scholarship Boarding Student - Provides approximately the average scholarship award for a student in residence.
  $600,000
     

Faculty Development Fund
Underwrites faculty development initiatives, including independent research, advanced degree study, and conference attendance.

Teaching funds

   
  Teaching Internship - Supports one-year (nine-month) non-tenured track appointments for aspiring teachers who have not yet earned advanced degrees.
  $500,000
  Faculty Professional Development Fellowships - Provides one term of professional development support and a one-time stipend for faculty members to pursue continuing education, research, travel or other projects.
  $500,000
  Instructorship - Establishes a public position of honor, selected by the principal, for an early to mid-career faculty member on continuing appointment who is accomplished in his or her discipline. Appointment is frequently, though not necessarily, made for a multi-year term and is accompanied by a stipend.
  $1,250,000
  Academy Teaching Chair - Establishes a public position of honor, appointed by the principal, to a mid-career faculty member for the remainder of his or her PEA career. Appointment includes annual stipend.
  $1,750,000
  Distinguished Professor/Department Chair - Establishes the highest public position of distinction, appointed by the principal, for a tenured senior member of the faculty who has contributed in a significant way to teaching and learning at the Academy. Appointment is made for the length of one's tenure as a member of the faculty and includes an annual stipend. Named department chairs are given to the current heads of academic departments for the duration of their term, and also include annual stipends.
  $2,500,000
  Deanship - Establishes a public position of honor to be held specifically by the Dean of Students or Dean of Faculty for the term of their appointed position. The appointment includes an annual stipend and/or discretionary budget for programmatic needs.
  $10,000,000
  Principal Chair - Endows in perpetuity the Principalship of the Academy
  $25,000,000
