Dr. Hebl is a licensed physician in the state of Wisconsin and a member of the California Bar Association. He has been an occupational medicine physician for the Midelfort Clinic, Mayo Clinic Regional Health System since January 1998. He is also the Medical Director of Employee Health for the 3000 employees of Luther-Midelfort, Medical Director of Chippewa Valley Emergency Services and Co-Chair of the Luther-Midelfort Safety Committee.

Dr. Hebl has previously served as Medical Director of both the Luther-Midelfort Weight Loss Program and the Nicotine Dependence Center and as Director of Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care Departments and Chair of the Peer Review Committee at Group Health Cooperative, a 30,000-member HMO. From 1989 to 1991 he was Director of the Urgent Care Department at Medford Clinic, P.C., in Medford, Oregon.

In the area of law, Dr. Heble has worked as a public defense law clerk in Seattle, WA. and been a law clerk in corporate and business law partnerships in San Francisco. From 1988 to 1991 he served as a volunteer attorney in Salinas, CA, processing undocumented immigrants under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

The father of eight children, Joe Heble is Co-President of Hebl Family Singers and Dancers, a non-profit family musical group that has performed over 100 concerts of song and dance, raising more than one million dollars for charitable organizations. This group has performed from California to New England, from Rome to Santiago over the past 15 years. They have collectively produced 8 CDs and have donated over 50,000 copies of their recordings to charitable causes.
