Sloan DuRoss '95
Olympic Rower

A
native of Portland, ME, and a 1995 graduate of
Exeter, where he took up rowing, Sloan DuRoss is
a five-time member of the US National rowing team
in the sweep/sculls event: Under 23 in 1997-98;
Pan American Games in 2003; Senior in 2002 and
2004. Sloan has a B.S. in Engineering from Brown
University and worked as a business analyst for
a dot-com and then a large bank before stopping
to focus on rowing. He is interested in attending
business school and making a career in renewable
energies after his rowing career is finished. He
is currently a coach for the Saugatuck Rowing Club.
He trains in Boston and Princeton under coach Kris
Korzeniowski.
